Ibbie’s Neonatal Appeal

Meet Ibbie, who was born in Liverpool Women’s Hospital in March 2022 and was treated in our Neonatal unit.

“2022 was a hard and scary year for us, when in March it became apparent Ibbie was growing slower than her gestational age”

“On the journey through lots of ups and downs, the hospital staff cared for the whole family. They gave mum accommodation above NICU so she was always close by and on hand, they welcomed Ibbie’s 4 siblings and they answered the phone to answer my questions at whatever ungodly hour I was worrying. The family room in NICU was a sanctuary that provided a way for us to be together in the most difficult of times and at all times the care was second to none”

When you have a poorly newborn baby in a incubator the last thing on your mind is looking after yourself, that’s why with your donations we try to make it as easy as possible for our parents and families to have access to food.

Located less than two minutes away from our Neonatal ward this much needed space is a lifeline for families needing rest at an incredibly stressful time.

💜 And, a much needed breath of fresh air in the newly refurbished Neonatal garden space
