2,200 handmade cardigans made for the Liverpool Women’s Charity.

Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity has received over 2,200 knitted cardigans from the readers of Prima magazine for the Little Woollens shop.

Liverpool Women’s hospital volunteer coordinator Pam Dobie approached Prima editor Jo Checkley to ask for help with the volunteer run initiative which relies on donations of handmade and knitted goods to raise money.

The Little Woollens shop was featured in the March edition of Prima and a call out to crafters was made. Prima published an exclusive pattern for their readers and the response they received was outstanding.

 The London office of Prima received over 2,200 cardigans, which travelled via courier van to Liverpool ready to be sold by Liverpool Women’s charities Little Woollens shop.

The funds raised from the sale of the cardigans will help provide specialist equipment, care packages, and support for premature babies and their families in the neonatal unit.
