Liverpool man, Rob stones is undertaking an extraordinary endurance challenge to raise vital funds for Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity Honeysuckle Bereavement Service at Liverpool Women’s University Hospital.
Rob will complete a full marathon — 26.22 miles — every day for 84 consecutive days, covering more than 2,200 miles in total!
His challenge, named Beyond84, is inspired by the remarkable fact that during a woman’s third trimester, her body uses the same energy as completing a marathon every single day — for 84 days, which is the typical length of the third trimester in pregnancy. Rob is using this concept to honour parents who have experienced the unimaginable heartbreak of pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or neonatal death.
A cause close to home
Rob says the challenge carries deep personal meaning; “I’ve seen close friends and family struggle after losing a baby and the devastating emotional and physical toll it takes. It’s something I wish no one had to go through. The Honeysuckle Team provides such compassionate support during the darkest moments — I honestly struggle to put into words how important their work is.”
Rob will complete the majority of his miles alone but will also host special community runs, inviting the public to join him, show support, or help raise awareness. Details are being shared on Robs Instagram channel at @beyond84_ and also on Liverpool Women’s Hospital charity at @lwhcharity.
Rob added; “This challenge will be incredibly hard, but it’s only a drop in the ocean compared to what these families go through. Every donation, every share, every message of support means so much. You’re genuinely helping to make a difference.”
Rob will complete the challenge on Sunday 26 April 2026. To make a donation and help Rob to reach his target visit the Beyond84 JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/page/beyond84
