Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity Golf Day Raises £12,000 for Honeysuckle Fund

Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity welcomed 20 teams from businesses across the region to Childwall Golf Club last week, raising an incredible £12,000 to support the charity’s Honeysuckle Fund and its vision to further enhance specialist bereavement support for families experiencing baby loss.

Despite soaring temperatures, the sold-out event brought together 80 golfers for a day of friendly competition, networking and fundraising, all in support of women, babies and families cared for by Liverpool Women’s Hospital.

The day was made possible thanks to headline sponsor IF Finishes, whose support helped deliver another successful event, while Lampadina Group kept golfers refreshed throughout the day with welcome refreshments in the summer heat. Krol Corlett proudly sponsored the course, helping to create a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Guests also took part in a range of fundraising activities, including a raffle, Spot the Ball competition and the ever-popular Beat the Pro challenge, expertly hosted throughout the day by Childwall Golf Club’s PGA Professional, Tom. Five golfers successfully beat the pro, adding to the excitement and helping raise even more funds for the charity.

The charity also thanked Gavin Brown and the entire team at Childwall Golf Club for their exceptional hospitality, as well as William Baldwin from Sutcliffe, who volunteered his time to manage scoring throughout the day.

Additional thanks were given to Irwin Mitchell and Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village, who kindly donated raffle prizes.
