On Thursday, January 30th, Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity hosted a special event at the iconic Royal Liver Building to thank its incredible corporate supporters for their generosity and dedication in 2024.

Held in one of Liverpool’s most iconic landmarks, guests enjoyed breathtaking views of the city, an immersive tour of the historic clock tower, and the opportunity to celebrate the impact their support has made on the hospital and its patients. The event was made possible with thanks to 360 Royal Liver Building Tours, who kindly provided this unforgettable setting.

The event also marked the soft launch of HIPEC, the charity’s newest fundraising project. HIPEC (Heated Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy) is an innovative treatment set to transform the lives of patients facing advanced ovarian cancer. Consultant Sian Taylor shared an inspiring introduction to the project, outlining how this cutting-edge treatment will provide new hope for women in Liverpool and beyond.

While the primary focus of the evening was to thank supporters, the launch of HIPEC reflects the charity’s commitment to driving medical advancements and improving care for patients.

Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity is deeply grateful to its corporate partners for their kindness. Their support has been fantastic in funding vital projects, enhancing patient care, and shaping the future of Liverpool Women’s Hospital.

Kate Davies, Head of Fundraising said:

“We are so lucky to live in a city like Liverpool, where community’s support and compassion know no bounds. This event was a celebration of the amazing work our supporters have made possible, and it was the perfect setting to introduce our HIPEC project, which has the potential to save and improve so many lives.”

The charity extends its heartfelt thanks to 369 Royal Liver Building Tours for hosting such a memorable event, as well as to everyone who has supported Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity to date.
